Please read description carefully due to the unique nature of this piece.
This is an unmounted piece of taxidermy. There is no stand or base provided. The bird is mounted to a branch ready to attach to a display of your choosing.
This beautiful bird sadly came to me in a compromised condition. There was a large laceration in the stomach which resulted in a slightly distorted skin. This lack of symmetry in the skin meant I was unable to create a smooth body shape, and there is some deformation upon close inspection inaccurate to the species.
Poor condition can sometimes be a result of sickness or environmental factors, like the cleanliness of their aviary. I have attempted to create a mount out of the bird, but will be selling this at a heavily discounted price to account for the issues with the specimen.
This can be used as a prop for photography shoots/editorials, or remounted into a dome or case with habitat so as to bring up the quality of the piece overall. If you would like ideas, feel free to get in touch, as I have clients who have done this with unmounted, compromised quality birds. Alternatively, this would make a good prop for still life drawing, art classes, or similar.
Please note I will not be accepting returns on this bird, so it is 'sold as seen'.
If you would like more details, photographs etc. do not hesitate to drop me a line at elletaxidermy@gmail.com. Please look at the photographs carefully before purchasing and if you are unsure, just ask.
This bird died from natural causes and came from a private aviary.
