FEMINIST BIRD CLUB

As of 2022, Elle co-founded the England chapter of the Feminist Bird Club alongside RSPB committee member and social director of Atmos, Elie Gordon.

The Feminist Bird Club, Inc. is a non-profit organisation with chapters all over the globe. Each chapter is responsible for leading local and inclusive walks, and for fundraising gatherings and events. FBC is a birding club for women, LGBTQ+ and BIPOC, and is designed to create a safe space for those wanting to connect to the outdoors.

"Our goal is two-fold: Make birding and the outdoors inclusive and affirming to people who may not have safe access to it, and leverage people’s passion for the environment and social justice to help create lasting social change. More simply put: There is no reason why we can’t celebrate birds and support our most cherished beliefs in equity and justice at the same time. For us, it’s not either/or."
